cultures, and backgrounds. The panellists also emphasized the need for schools
to have proper infrastructure and support systems in place to support children
with disabilities and other special needs.
To conclude,
attending the screening of the movie 'Ready Steady' and the ensuing panel
discussion on promoting inclusivity in schools was an enriching experience for
us. We gained valuable insights and practical ideas on how we can create an
environment in our schools that is welcoming and inclusive, and which supports
the development of every child. We are eager to implement these ideas and
strategies to promote inclusion in our school community. We express our
gratitude to Dr. Ashok Kumar Pandey, Advisor-Ahlcon Group of Schools and
Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav and, for giving us this wonderful opportunity to learn

PANCHAYAT
Panchayati Raj Day is celebrated on April 24th every year in India
to commemorate the passing of the Constitution (73rd Amendment) Act, 1992,
which led to the establishment of Panchayati Raj institutions in India. To
celebrate this day, the students of Class XI at Ahlcon International School
decided to simulate the functioning of a Gram Panchayat by dividing themselves
into a Sarpanch, five Panchs, and the rest of the students representing the
Gram Sabha of a fictional town called Dholakpur.
The class was divided into three groups. The first group consisted
of the Sarpanch and the five Panchs, who were responsible for proposing and
implementing policies for the development of the town. The second group
represented the Gram Sabha, who were responsible for providing feedback and
suggestions to the Sarpanch and the Panchs. The third group acted as observers,
who monitored and analysed the decision-making process.
The Sarpanch and the Panchs were given hypothetical situations
such as intercaste marriage, personal conflict, water scarcity, and disparity
between rich and poor, which they had to address using their collective wisdom
and the feedback from the Gram Sabha. The decisions made by the Sarpanch and
the Panchs were then presented to the Gram Sabha for approval.
The celebration of Panchayati Raj Day was a great learning
experience. The simulation exercise helped the students understand the
importance of Panchayati Raj institutions and their role in the development of
rural India. It also helped them develop skills such as critical thinking,
decision-making, and communication. The exercise was an excellent way for the
students to celebrate Panchayati Raj Day and appreciate the democratic process
of decision-making.

Interaction
with the
Federal Chancellor of Germany
The date 25th February,2023 will always remain special for me as I got the golden opportunity of meeting the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Olaf Scholz when he visited Fab café, Sunder Nursery for an informal interactive session with a younger, informed audience.
Meeting and interacting with the Federal Chancellor was a once in a lifetime experience, which was possible because of my teachers and my school AIS (Ahlcon International School). As a school student, it was a wonderful and different exposure. There were people from different fields, age groups and even different states of India like UP, Rajasthan etc invited by the German Embassy for the session. The Chancellor seated on a high chair in the beautiful ambience of the Fab cafe, very deftly handled all the questions raised by the audience ranging from topics as wide and diverse as climate change, feminist policies, protection of forest cover, art and history, energy conservation, education in Germany, labour shortage, SDGs etc. He enthralled the crowd with his answers. The picturesque and serene location only added to the charm. Due to shortage of time, all the questions could not be catered but the Chancellor tried his best to cover all the aspects. The session further augmented the healthy Indo-German relationship.
It was also fun shooting the actual videos as well as the bloopers at Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhavan. In the video I shared my experience of the interaction with the federal Chancellor and how excited and yet nervous I was before the grand event. We recorded in both the languages English and German.
It was a truly intriguing and informative event. I am ever grateful to my School and my teacher and Goethe Institute for this glorious learning opportunity.
Fourteen
years of hard work, memories both perfect and benign, all led to this the
culmination of a student’s identity, end of his first phase of life, the
Farewell which was conducted on 11th February 2023, in the school
auditorium.
The marvellously planned event was presided over
by Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Headmaster Senior School Mr. Puneet Duggal, and
other dignitaries. All teachers from pre-primary to senior sections joined this
grand event. The participation round for the famous titles of Mr. And Ms.
Ahlcon began with great excitement and participation and students gave their
best to move ahead for the next round. There were three rounds of the contest. Students
of class 11th planned many interesting performances. The event
commenced with Kavya Cafe Mehfil, which was very entertaining. Headmaster Mr.
Puneet Duggal showered his blessings on the students by sharing a motivational
video with a beautiful message and passed on his blessings to the students. Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav addressed the
students and blessed them with his kind words. The next performance was by our
talented singers and musicians and they presented a musical medley through
their captivating and melodious voices and notes. The participants of the
contest now had to showcase their talent in order to be in the third round. It
was very difficult for the judges to choose the participants for the next round
as each contestant gave his best on the stage. Class XI students showcased a
beautiful video that made the audience exhilarated and nostalgic. It took them
to the memories of their school life which they will miss in the future! Now
was the time to showcase the intellectual level on stage for the third and the
final round. Class 11th students performed in the grand finale , adding
more fun and excitement to the programme. Teachers too joined in, that doubled
the fun. This was followed by the climax of this
paramount event, the results of the contest. After a highly competitive contest,
Arth Trivedi and Priyal Jain were crowned Mr. and Ms. Ahlcon respectively.
With
this beautiful ceremony, their journey with our school may stop here, but above
all, it’s a beginning for new heights for them. HM and Principal both
appreciated and acknowledged the efforts made by the entire team and were exhilarated
to witness the event.
“With Board Examinations knocking at our beloved
students' door,
We shower choicest of blessings to fortify motivation
and enliven succor!"
To
invoke the most vibrant streak of blessings from all the cardinal points of the
globe for the braced-up CBSE Board exam warriors of Class X, a blessing
ceremony was organized on 8th February 2023, by the Senior Section
of Ahlcon International School. The illuminating aura of the principal, Mr.
Sanjay Yadav and HM, Senior section, Mr. Puneet Duggal inspired the students to
greatness.

thoughts on the importance of the day and the board exams. Mr. Gagandeep
presented a talk on "Brace-up Tips to Ace the Exams", which was
appreciated by the students and provided them with useful tips and insights for
the exams. Mr. Shambhu recited a motivational poem that instilled a sense of
confidence and determination in the students.

exams a hilarious twist, lifted the spirits and lightened the mood. The
event concluded with a nostalgic session, "Down the Memory Lane," through
which the students could reminisce their memorable days spent in the Senior
Section.
Overall,
the Blessing Ceremony was a success and provided a platform for the students to

PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA LIVE STREAMING
Ahlcon International School, on 27th
January 2023, got imbued with curiosity and zeal on the occasion of the Sixth
edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha which was being held at New Delhi's Talkatora
Stadium. This annual event, which was enunciated by Prime Minister Narendra
Modi in the year 2018 as a larger movement - ‘Exam Warriors’, was hailed by all
the students.
The live streaming of the Prime
Minister's commendable efforts towards creating a stress-free atmosphere for
youngsters was watched and held in high regard in the school auditorium, at the
reception and in the classrooms across the entire Senior Section.
Importance of time management for
examinations was highlighted with intriguing examples by the honorable Prime
Minister. Students were asked to observe the most inspiring figure of family,
i.e. the mother, as she is adept at managing the house and family. The most
haunting question about the family's expectations, which stumbles the students'
motivation to study with all the diligence, was humbly answered aptly by the
highly revered Prime minister. He pacified the students by saying that it's
normal for the family to have expectations but they should not make it a matter
of social status. The students who use their creativity for 'cheating' in
examinations should use their time and creativity in a good way to achieve
heights of success. Also, hard working students are extremely affected by
others doing cheating so students should abstain from using unfair means. He
also brought forth the pertinence of doing hard work smartly. These
illuminating repository of mantras to beat exam stress, motivated the students
to identify their strengths and interests and also help them celebrate exams.
Students enthusiastically look forward to another edifying session of Pariksha
Pe Charcha in the coming months alongside taking vibrant insights from this
one.

VIRTUAL ASSEMBLY REPORT

TOPIC – YOUTH DAY, LOHRI, MAKAR SANKRANTI
On 12th January an assembly was conducted by IX-C
on the occasion of Lohri, Makar Sankranti and the birthday of Swami Vivekananda
which is also celebrated as ‘National Youth Day’. In 1984 the Government of India declared
this day as National Youth Day and since 1985 the event is celebrated in India every year.
Lohri is a popular winter
folk festival celebrated primarily in the Indian Subcontinent. The significance and
legends about the Lohri festival are many and these link the festival to the Punjab region. It is believed by many
that the festival marks the passing of the winter solstice. Makar Sankranti or Uttarayan or Maghi or simply
Sankranti, also known in Bangladesh
and West Bengal as Poush Sankranti, and in Nepal as Maghe Sankranti, Sankranti here means ‘transfer’, this day
is considered as the transition day of Sun into the Capricorn.
The assembly was started by Comparers - Alya Mehta and Anvi
Goyal. While introducing the event,
they talked about the importance of youth day and by showing a small video of Swami Vivekananda when he
represented Hinduism in the Parliament of Religions in 1893 in Chicago and brought fame to India. A motivating poem ‘Mere Desh Ke Naujavano’
was recited by Apoorba Chatterjee, which was based
on awakening the youth as they are the bright
creators of their lives and the future of the country.
Then Manasvi, Kunwarjeet and Jishnu presented some
facts about the youth of the 21st century and some achievements of the class were shown by Apoorba. Audience was amazed by seeing how much the people of India are excelling in
every field such as Neeraj Chopra in sports and great entrepreneur Srikant
Bola Owner of Bollant Industries.
The assembly was further proceeded
by the melodious voice of Soham Rastogi with his song ‘Lakshya’. Which
surely lightened a spirit of strength and energy in everyone present
there.
